Wife of the late Harry George Bird. Mother of Andrea Joanne Bird (deceased) and Steffanie Jane Kitto.  Joan passed away suddenly after a short illness on Tuesday 5th April 2022.

Grandmother to Shayna Leigh Kitto, and Jordan Little of Dargaville and Mateus Cayle Reihma Kitto, great grandmother to Tyler-Lee, Harry Phillip, Amelia-Jane, Khloe and Casey of Dargaville.

A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a service at the Tui Park Bowling Club, 38 Gilcrest Street, Te Aroha on Saturday 9th April 2022 at 2pm.

Joan was a special lady who brought softness and love to everyone she encountered and will be dearly missed by her family and all.
