Passed away 29^th June 2023, aged 85 years, at home with his loving wife Gillian of 60 years by his side. Unexpected but peacefully after a short illness. Adored Dad and Father in law of Cherie and Mike, Celeste and Ray, and the late Jason. Cherished and admired grandad of Nathan and Josh, Benjamin and Isaac. Loved too by Melissa, McKenzie, Gabriella and Ruby, Ngaire and Gay, Jihan Kang, Ini Kim, Ara, Min-Song and Mi-Nui. “A True Gentleman. Loving, Kind, Calm and Caring, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend… Our hearts are broken because you loved us so much. But all that you are will never die, because you now live through each of us.” In accordance with Ernie’s wishes a private family funeral has been held.
