REA, Joyce

Passed away peacefully in Matamata on Monday 21st June 2021. Cherished wife of the late Albert Victor Rea and loved sister of Ken, Brian (deceased), Ann & Peter, and Aunty to her four nieces. Thank you to the staff at Pohlen Hospital Resthome in Matamata. A service for Joyce will be held at Broadway Funeral Home, 10 Short St, Matamata on Thursday 24th June at 11am thereafter private cremation.

HOUGHTON, Colleen Norma

In Waikato Hospital, surrounded by her family, on Thursday 17th June 2021 aged 87 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Lawrie. Much loved mother and mother in law of Grant, and Jenny and Craig Bramley. Treasured nana of Alison and Matthew. “Losing someone leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal”. A Requiem Mass for Colleen will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, corner Whitaker and Burgess Street Te Aroha, on Thursday 24th June at 1pm, followed by interment at The Te Aroha Cemetery. Rosary for Colleen will be held at St Joseph’s Church Te Aroha on Wednesday 23rd June at 5pm. Messages to the Houghton family C/- Broadway Funeral Home, Short Street Matamata 3400.

DIPROSE: Kate Munro

On 14th June 2021, with family around her, our treasured Kate went to heaven.  Much loved daughter of Marc and Jackie and adored sister of Fletcher and Jessie.  Dearly loved granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend who held a special place in all of our hearts.  A service to celebrate Kate’s life will be held at the Matamata Baptist Church on Tower Rd, on Saturday 19th June at 11.30am followed by a burial at the Matamata Cemetery.  All communications to the Diprose Family care of Broadway Funeral Home, 10 Short Street, Matamata 3400.

TOMLINSON: George Walter

Passed away on 7 June 2021 at Kenwyn Rest Home, Te Aroha with his family by his side, 94 years old. Loved husband of the late Jean Margaret. Loved and respected Dad of Karen and Grant Williams, the late Della Maree, David and Stephen. A special Grandad, Great Grandad and Great Great Grandad. A very heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff at Kenwyn for their love, kindness and respect for Dad over the past 5 years. Thanks also to Dr Brendon Eade. “Rest peacefully Dad after your long journey through life.” A service for George will be held at the Te Aroha R.S.A, Rewi St, Te Aroha on Monday 14 June at 1.00pm followed by private cremation. HANNAH: John Joseph

After along illness and courageous battle passed away 7 June 2021 peacefully, aged 76. Loved and cherished by all. “Go paint rainbows.” Always in our hearts.

BREWSTER, Aliyah Lyn

6 March 2006 – 3 June 2021 Age 15. Beloved daughter of Warren and Giselle, special Sister to Cheyenne. Grandaughter of Ken and Lynne Weal, niece of Greg Weal, Amber Buffett and Racheal Taylor – Tilsley. Grandaughter of Garry and Marilyn Brewster and niece to their children. Great Grandaughter to Gordon and Norma Brewster, Allan and Mavis Dawson, James and Elizabeth Stutt, Alfred and Elizabeth Weal. She slipped away peacefully holding Mum and Dad’s hands. She is finally cancer free and has joined her beloved God and Jesus. We are proud to have been parents and sister to a courageous fighter who kept her smile and manners all throughout her treatment. You were a true treasure Aliyah and will live forever in our hearts. Our sincere thanks to the fabulous team at Starship, Ronald McDonald House – Grafton Mews, Hospice Waikato and Waikato Hospital. A service for Aliyah will be held at the Matamata Baptist Church, Tower Road, Matamata on Saturday 12th June at 11am followed by interment in Matamata Cemetery. TAYLOR: Warren John

Passed away peacefully on 24th May 2021, aged 73 years. Loved husband of Cheryl;  father of Steven and Craig; brother of Greg and Gavin; Grandad of Drew and Byron, Paige and Chelsea. In accordance with Warren’s wishes a private cremation has been held.

LOVELOCK, David Warren

On May 18th at Kenwyn Home Te Aroha.  A dearly loved husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather of Elaine, Stephen and Monique, Richard and Lynda, Alex and Melissa, Josh, Toby and Adam, Hayley, Kerri and Sean and Phoenix and Sacha.  A private cremation has been held.  The family wish to thank Matron and staff of Kenwyn for five years loving care of David.  All communications to Elaine Lovelock, Appt 29, C/- Matamata Country Lodge, 20 Elizabeth Street, Matamata 3400.  Broadway Funeral Home (FDANZ)
