COWLRICK: Mark Peter

Passed away unexpectedly at home, aged 52.  Dearly loved son of Yvonne and the late Peter and brother, brother-in-law and uncle of Maryann, Johnathan, Brianna, Jasmine and Sherrilee Armstrong.  Rest Easy.

SIGNAL: Allan Phillip

Taken suddenly on 18th April 2022 in Foxton, aged 71 years. Loved brother of Mary, Joy, Jan, Julie, Ilyn, Megan, and Dwayne. Father of Peter, Tracey and Heidi. Grandfather of Levan, Kruze and Carlos. Foster father to Karlos. Funeral Prayers for Allan will be held at Church of the Holy Angels, Hohaia St, Matamata on Thursday 28th April at 11am. An additional service will be held at a later date for Allan’s ashes to be sprinkled on the land held close to his heart.

LAWRENCE, Clare Eileen

28.08.1931 – 22.04.2022

Passed away peacefully, in her sleep, at Waikato Hospital, after a short illness. A dear aunty, cousin, godmother and friend. Sister of the late Richard and Noel. Many thanks to Kenwyn Rest Home, Te Aroha for the dedicated care Clare received over the last 18 months. A private funeral will be held. EASTWOOD: Lynette Fay

Loving partner to Lloyd Gower.  Passed peacefully after a short illness, at 73 years old.  Mother to Nicola, Clinton and Hayden. Nanny Lyn to eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Known by all as a champion rosarian of over 40 years.

A service is to be held at her home in Matamata, Wednesday 20th April at 11.30am, 24 Grosvenor Drive.  Broadway Funeral Home, Matamata


BIRD: Joan (nee Shelley)

Wife of the late Harry George Bird. Mother of Andrea Joanne Bird (deceased) and Steffanie Jane Kitto.  Joan passed away suddenly after a short illness on Tuesday 5th April 2022.

Grandmother to Shayna Leigh Kitto, and Jordan Little of Dargaville and Mateus Cayle Reihma Kitto, great grandmother to Tyler-Lee, Harry Phillip, Amelia-Jane, Khloe and Casey of Dargaville.

A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a service at the Tui Park Bowling Club, 38 Gilcrest Street, Te Aroha on Saturday 9th April 2022 at 2pm.

Joan was a special lady who brought softness and love to everyone she encountered and will be dearly missed by her family and all.

Peacefully on Saturday the 2nd April 2022, aged 96 years. Youngest daughter of the late Ces and Mary-Josephine Pennell. Loving sister of the late Ces, Bill, Ness and Jack Pennell. Dearly loved by all her nieces and nephews. A funeral Service for Avis will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 6 Hohaia St, Matamata on Friday 8th April at 1pm followed by interment in Matamata cemetery.
