Passed away peacefully on the 17th May 2023, aged 92 at the Country Lodge Resthome, Matamata. Loved husband of Mary of over 70 years. Loved father and father in law of Lia and Bernard, Helena and Dave, Henry and Cleta, Gerald and Raewyn, Wendy and Paul. Loved Opa of 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A special thanks to staff at Country Lodge for their care and kindness given to Dad. Rest In Peace,  Amen. A Requiem Mass for Martien will be celebrated at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Hohaia St, Matamata on Wednesday 31^st May at 1pm.
